I'm sure you're aware of FANDOM's editorial site, Fandom.com and our coverage of gaming and entertainment news. One of the features of the site is that we curate news from other sites with the intention of providing a full picture of what's happening in the world of gaming and entertainment.
To that end, we're creating a new volunteer group at FANDOM called "Volunteer Curators". How I started playing Dota2...
I dont have any idea what Dota 2 meant when I first looked at this game. When I was 9/10, I used to play Warcraft 3 in different modes. I loved that game but unfortunately I needed to delete the game because I needed to do clear my memory and needed to format my computer. I loved to play strategy games like AoE, AoM, AoE2, AoE3... I even liked a facebook page called Heroes of Dota. I didnt knew what Dota was. But they posted pictures of warcraft 3 based landscape. I thought dota is 'Warcraft 3'. But my friends insisted me to play LoL. I installed it and played it for like 2 hours. The servers in LoL were horrible. Everytime when I was connected to a game, then It says 'trying to reconnect'. My internet was fine but it appeared everytime. I…

Well, the first thing that comes up in my mind is if there are no supports I tend to say GG lol. I dont know why, just wanted to give pressure to my teammates in order to buy courier.
And another thing is Russians. Jesus, I hate many of them so much. I occasionally lost my 150 mmr due to them. We were winning during that time with the score of 23-32, but... WE LOST THE MATCH :( I was really enraged and searched another Ranked match. But lost that one again and due to russians because there were in party and I was alone...

Hero Page editing and my noobish skills with wikias.
So...i joined and started editing...much to my dismay, i stumbled upon the terrorblade page, and found it sadly unfilled with Terrorblade from Dota 2...who is arguably, the most fun character to play. Anyway, i have no idea how to expand the table from just showing the original terrorblade's lore and stats from Allstars to also including his stuff from Dota 2. so, if any one could help me with that, it would be much appreciated. Also, could anyone post any pages here of items or characters that dont have their own page, or that don't have enough material on their pages, and i'll look into them and work on them.

Well, despite that I haven't been playing Dota so much, I still remember how deadly he is. Sorry if I got something wrong because I barely remember his usage. Here are some details and tips:
Details:
Damage: 53-69
Armor: 0.54
Movespeed: 290
Attack Range: 150
Base attack time: 1.70
Others are simplified because they are obvious.
Pros:
- Counter to over 100 heroes because of his ulti.
- He can eat creeps to get skills.
- Can heal himself.
- Good farmer.
Cons:
- Ulti is blockable.
- Ulti is magic damage, meaning that it can be screwed by magic resistance.
- People won't play with you. :(
- People see you, they will run. :(

Over the past couple of months we have been developing and testing a related videos module on some wikis like Harry Potter, Hunger Games and Halo. During these tests we have been tracking the number of video plays as well as collecting community feedback. We are now ready to expand the rollout to the rest of the site, and we are starting with wikis that there are the most videos for - which includes your wiki!

Ogre Magi Rumbles into DOTA 2
The latest DOTA 2 patch has hit the servers and in its firey wake comes Ogre Magi, the multi-casting two-headed beast. Just like all DOTA 2 Heroes, his abilities are liable to change for the time being. Regardless, he's a natural fit and one of the few melee Intelligence heroes in the game. Treant Protector Sprouts in the Test Client
Treant Protector has hit the DOTA 2 servers in the latest patch, bringing with him a healthy green glow and some beautiful foliage, if I do say so myself. Like all DOTA 2 Heroes, his abilities are liable to change for the time being. That being said, check out his abilities and let me know what you think.

Beastmaster New Look
With the latest DOTA 2 patch release, Valve has adjust Beastmaster's look. Is it for the better? Take a look yourself.

First, Beastmaster looks much cooler in my opinion. The darker hues make him appear more threatening. I was a bit concerned about darkening characters for readability issues but, on second look, I think the brighter red on his head and chest, which keeps some brighter lighting than the rest of the body, will still allow Beastmaster to stand out on the battlefield.

Phantom Lancer Joins DOTA 2
The April 2nd patch has come, and with it the Phantom Lancer joins the DOTA 2 hero roster. Welcome the newest addition to team Radiant. I have very little experience with Phantom Lancer myself, but is anyone else eager to give this rendition a try?

New DOTA 2 HUD
One of my biggest concerns about DOTA 2, particularly concerning bringing in new players, has been its readability. While I still have some concerns about hero ability animations, I do like the changs Valve has recently implemented to its interface.
Courier UI has become more clear and easier to use, move speed is now clearly shown, and item icons have changed for the better. It might not be a major overhaul, but even little changes can go a long way towards making the game more accessible. Take a look at the images below and let me know what you think of the interface.

Trolls and hostile players have long been a plague in online gaming, and this has never been more true in MOBAs like DOTA 2 and League of Legends. Venomancer proves very deadly in intermediate and expert hands. He deals heavy damage from the very beginning and is an excellent lane controller and is perfect pusher. Wiki update- Goals
Sorry to everyone for not being active for the past month, as the staff were all on holidays. It's a new year, and I decided to make a few goals that we want to reach by the end of the year (hopefully). They are in order of priority:
1. Get all the dota 1 info for all the champions. 2. Get all the dota 1 info for items. 3. Finish the gameplay elements. 4. Pages for individual shops. 5. Creeps- The Dota 1 info.
If we manage to get these tasks out of the way, then we will begin to the dota 2 information (as the full version is not yet out, and we still have some time left before it comes out).

We’ve been a bit quiet lately. As always, we learn a lot whenever we put something out and get feedback from you all. Showing Dota 2 to the world at The International gave us a lot of feedback to chew through, and the many recent forum threads talking about the information leaking out of the beta has added to the pile. After a bunch of thinking, we’ve decided to change our plans a little.
Our original plan was to spend the next year or so in beta, adding new features and slowly growing the number of heroes until we reached a level of parity with Dota 1, at which point we’d release Dota 2 to the world. But the feedback we’re seeing everywhere is that people just want to play it, even though there’s still a ton of heroes yet to be implemented…
